Mary Elizabeth Bush

Mary Elizabeth Bush 94, wento be with the Lord and Savior on December 6, 2020 at Piney Valley Nursing Home in Keyser, WV. She was born on October 16, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Daniel F. Ross and Sarah V. Washington. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Thomas Bush and son Richard “Boog” Ross, also four brothers; Ronald, Daniel, John and Kenneth Ross and her sister, Delores Waiters.

Mary was a life member of the Waldon Methodist Church. She retired from the Mineral County Board of Education as a Janitor at the VoTech School in Keyser, WV and aslo worked in Piedmont High School. She aslo served as a Girl Scout leader. She was a former member of the  Ladies Auxillary of Washington-Smith American Legion in Keyser and the VFW in Piedmont and McCoole, MD.

She is survived by two sons; James “Jimmy” Helms and wife Emilyof Morgantown, Wv and Eugene “Tootie” Bush and companion Gaye Brooks of Keyser; Two daughters, Charlotte “Peep” Helms and companion Mike of Pittsburgh, PA and Virginia “Sis” Helms of Piedmont. She is survives also by her grandchildren, Robbie, Donita, Josh, Kanisha, Jamar, DeSean, Terrell, Lakyn and Great-Grandchildren; Aubryn, Zavon, NaQuae, Mariska, Keondra, J’Kyah, Jakaree, Kambrie, Braylen, Zane, R.J, Aalyh.

Due to current health concerns a Private visitation and funeral service will be held at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Friday with Rev. Mary Beth Chien, Pastor of Waldon Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Potomac Memorial Gardens in Keyser, WV.
