Joyce Lyons

Joyce Helena Lyons 86 of Main St. Westernport went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 14, 2021.  She was born on May 1, 1935 in Piedmont, WV and was the daughter of the late Rev. Rex Coffman and Helen I. (LaRue) Coffman. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Lyons and Charles R. Lyons, and her son-in-law Edward Smith, and grandson, Justin Dolly

Joyce was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lonaconing, MD. She was very active in her church, playing the Organ and teaching Sunday school. She loved music and cooking for her family. She attended Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC.

She is survived by her loving husband , Charles W. Lyons and her daughters, Joy Smith of Westernport, MD and Debi Genovesi and husband Nick of Pittsburgh, PA and a special Grandson Clint Lyons of Westernport. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Jessica Spalding and husband Shawn and their children, Kami and Koltin, granddaughter,Lesley McCutheon and her husband Brian and three children, and grandson, Garhet Dolly, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Lyons.

The family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Monday, May 17, 2021 from Noon until 1 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1PM with the Rev. Harold Smith officiating. Private interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Barton, MD.

The family request that memorial donations for their Mom be directed to the Tri-Towns Rescue Squad in Westernport, MD.
