Jason Redman

Jason W. Redman, 47, of Piedmont passed away on October 22,2022, at WVU Medical Center in Morgantown, after a short illness. Jason leaves behind a grief stricken and  heartbroken family.

Aside from being an amazing spouse, father, son, brother and uncle, Jason excelled at everything that he ever attempted to do. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, catching some of the biggest fish out of the Potomac River and putting plenty of tenderloin on the dinner table. Jason, in high school, was an athlete having played football, wrestled and track and field for the Keyser Golden Tornado. Jason went on to play for the Frostburg University Bobcats. He loved watching Dallas Cowboys and was an avid WVU fan!!
Jason also had a passion for cooking, having owned the Smoke Ring and Barbecue Shop in Keyser. Jason left a legacy not to be forgotten.

Although Jason's life was short, he left a mark on everyone that he ever met. He had the best laugh ever and was one of the kindest and most compassionate men to ever walk this earth. Jason's passing has devastated the community. He was loved by so many people and he had love for so many. Nicky, Rob, Rob, Joey, Devin, Andy, you know!

Jason is survived by his ever loving woman of 20 years, Amanda Grove, of Piedmont and two amazing sons, Emerson and Elliott, both of Piedmont. Jason also eaves behind his mother, Ruth (Clay) Redman of Keyser; a sister, Marla Redman of Piedmont; his favorite niece, "Bink" Onyx Redman and finance Peter Clement; great nephew, Savage of Ranson WV; four aunts and uncles, Frances Clay, Christine Clay, Victor and wife Sherri Clay, all of Piedmont and Harry Redman and wife Bernice of Cumberland, MD; and many, many cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Arnold Redman.

Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, 31 Jones St., Piedmont, WV on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 4 to 6 PM at which time a memorial service will be held.
