Glynne Edsel Clark

August 24, 1926 ~ July 6, 2021 (age 94)



Glynne Edsel Clark, 94 of McKinley St., Westernport, MD died at his residence on Tuesday July 6, 2021. He was born in Barton, MD on Aug. 24, 1926 and was the son of the Archie M. Clark and Clementine (Llewellyn) Clark. He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Jacqueline Clark and daughter in law Kathy Clark.

Glynne was a member of Divine Mercy Saint Gabriel’s in Barton and Saint Peter Catholic Churches in Westernport for over 80 years. He was a graduate of Barton High School. He served his country in the United State Air Force. He worked at the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland, MD for 17 years, and was instrumental in developing molds for tractor trailer tires. He was also the owner and Operator of the Best for Less Construction and Landscaping Company. He was a member of Knights of Columbus #685 for many years. Glynne was a family man and he enjoyed traveling, life at the river and camping.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah (Thomas) Clark at home, and children, Dale Clark and wife Sunday of Piedmont, WV, Terry Clark and wife Nina of LaVale, MD, Mark Clark and wife Vickie of Avilton, MD, James ( Smiley ) McLane and Joyce Clark of New Creek WV, and Brett Clark of Barton, MD. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes Glynne was cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Barton, MD on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11AM with Father Eric Gauchat officiating. The Family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of service at the church.
