Charles J. King Jr. “Bub” 92 of Keyser, WV and formerly of Westernport, MD died on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Egle Nursing Home in Lonaconing, MD.

He was born on March 19, 1928 in Ridgeley, WV and was the son of the late Charles J. King Sr. and Catherine (Blizzard) King. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Laura J. (Kalbaugh) King who died in 2018 and his sister, Reva Shirley and brother, Bernard King.

Charles was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp from 1945 until 1951 and was discharged as a Sgt. He was employed and retired from Columbia Gas of WV at the age of 56. This allowed him to enjoy life traveling, camping, hunting, fishing and enjoying his grandchildren.

He was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly of Keyser. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His life was his family and friends and he was loved and adored by many.

Surviving are his loving children, Charles J.(Joe) King III and wife Kim; Jarold R. King and wife Carol and Debra J. Bosley and husband Dick all of Keyser, one brother, James King of Wenatchee, WA,  his grandchildren; Laurie Arnazzi, Erin Pritts, Clay King, Sarah Hudson, Kristi Weasenforth and Tim Woods, and his 10 great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Due to the current health concerns a private family service will be held at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Wednesday at 1PM with Pastor Donna Leatherman officiating.   Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Garden in Keyser, WV.
