Lurene Frances Barnard, 79, of Westernport, passed away on February 26, 2024, at her home. Born in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Alice Geraldine and William Watkinson.

Lurene attended Bruce High School. On September 2, 1961, she was married to Charles L. Barnard, whom preceded her in death. She was a member of the Westernport Church of the Brethren, and in her spare time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Tressler and husband Greg, and Paul L. Barnard and wife Kandi; one sister, Shirley Davis; a special friend Alma Raines; grandchildren, Heather Kroll and fiancé Gary Sweitzer, Chadd Kroll and wife Chante', Brandon and Tasheena Barnard, Mandy Day, Chae Whiteman, Cortney Miller and husband Craig, Jay Tressler and wife Courtney, Nick Tressler, and Michelle Yommer; great grandchildren, Tyler, Holly, and Hailee Warnick, Hunter and Rhett Kroll, Riley and Guage Barnard, Levi Murray, Cole Glotfelty, Cailyn Miller, Olivia, Avianna, and Winslow Tressler, Logan and Lexi Miller; and nephews, Paul, Matthew and David Davis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Barnard family at this time.
