Jeffrey Clay

Jeffrey Allen Clay, 58, of Piedmont, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at WVU United Hospital Center. Born on March 23, 1966, in Keyser, he was the son of Gloria Christina Clay of Piedmont. 

Jeff had worked in maintenance for the town of Piedmont and also at Pilgrim's Pride Processing in Moorefield. Jeff was always seen with a smile on his face and he never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by his family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Patrick Shawn Clay and wife Carrie, Erich M. Clay, and Marcus Anthony Clay and fiancee Aimee Avona, a special cousin, Sonya Clay; uncle, Vic Clay and wife Sherri; and aunt, Ruth Redman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie and Laura Clay; uncles, Luther, Paul, and Russell Clay; and aunt, Norma Jean and Francis Clay.

Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, 31 Jones St., Piedmont, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 12 to 2 PM. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Pastor Henderson L. Wheeler officiating.
