Charles Martin Coffman “Marty”, 59 of Cresaptown, MD. and formerly of Keyser, WV died at WMHS in Cumberland, MD on Tuesday May 17, 2016. He was born in Stuart, FL on Sept. 1, 1956 and was the son of the late Dr. Charles L. Coffman.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 to 1988. He was a Michigan High wrestler and an All Navy wrestler for 9 years He retired from AB&B as Business Development Manager. Marty was known as the “go too” person and the guy they could always count on regardless of the difficulty of the task. He won numerous citations and awards for his performance and earned the admiration and respect of the thousands of people he impacted during his work career.

Marty was an avid Mountaineer fan and he loved fishing and playing golf. He was a master of grilling and everyone will miss his unique recipes.

Marty is survived by his Mother, Susanna (Watson) Coffman of Pittsboro, IN and his loving wife, Rhonda Coffman of Cresaptown, MD. He is also survived by his daughter, Kelly Sions and husband Nathan of Romney, WV and one son, Charles (Charlie) Coffman of Cedar Point, NC and step-sons, Brandon and Justin Sears of Cresaptown; one brother, Ralph Coffman and wife Laura of Mt. Pleasant, MI. and two sisters, Charlotte Gourley and husband Ted of Fairfax, VA and Ruth Ann Tripp and husband Bernie of Pittsboro, IN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathan J., Natalie and Matthew Sions; and his Aunt, Martha Harris and husband George of Seneca, NC. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly. Marty exemplified how to Live, Laugh and Love.

Per Marty’s wishes he was cremated and a graveside service will be held at Queen’s Point Cemetery in Keyser, WV on Friday, May 20th at 4:30 P.M. with the Rev. Steven Wilson officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Guard, Cumberland, MD.

Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV is assisting the family with arrangement.
